Significance of International Women's Day

2 minute read

We are approaching a very significant and inspiring day for women all around the world, International Women’s Day, which is a pretty important day here at Eternal Roses.  We are a women owned business and take a lot of pride in our achievements as full time women entrepreneurs and full time mothers. It takes place on March 8th and is a global holiday celebrating the economic, social, cultural, and political achievements of women. It is one of the most important days of the year to raise awareness about women’s equality and fundraise for female-focused charities. This day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. There is a campaign theme each year and the theme for International Women's Day in 2022 is #BreakTheBias. Themes in past years include: #ChoosetoChallenge 2021, #EachforEqual 2020, and #BalanceforBetter 2019. International Women’s Day has occurred for well over a century with the first gathering held in 1911. The colors that represent Internal Women's Day are purple, green, and white.

Purple signifies dignity and justice, green represents hope, and white symbolizes purity.

Our purple, green, and white roses would be a touching gift to an inspiring woman in your life.  Eternal Roses is offering a few variations of purple, however our most popular and loved one would be Iris.  This color is truly happiness in a box.  Please visit our website for more options:

This day is to call to action, raise awareness, and uplift women all around the globe.
